Yaël Vinckx (Hazerswoude, 1968) is a journalist, writer and presenter. She writes articles for NRC, Elle and HP/De Tijd. She presents the cultural talk show Podium Pitc and has interviewed artists in the NRC Café and North Sea Jazz. Since 2014, Vinckx has led the workshop ‘writing family history’ in cooperation with NRC and the University of Leiden. About her period as a correspondent in the former Yugoslavia, where she reported the war in Kosovo, she wrote Yugoslavia Behind the Scenes, Farewell to a Country. She also wrote Human Trafficking on refugee immigration.
