Pieter Toussaint (1965) is a scientist at the University of Trondheim. He wrote his debut The Letter (2005), which got a nomination for the Anton Wachterprijs and the Debutantenprijs. In 2006 he wrote The Flying Bicycle – which was translated into Italian – and in 2007, he wrote The Art of Compass Reading. His latest novel, Out of Sight (2012), received wonderful reviews and has been sold to Norway.
