Bregje Hofstede (1988) has been published in a variety of magazines and newspapers and writes for De Correspondent. Her debut The Sky over Paris (2014) was nominated for the Libris Literature Prize, the Anton Wachterprijs and the Gouden Boekenuil, and was translated into Danish, German and Arabic. In 2016, she published her second book, The Rediscovery of the Body, translated into German. Her novel Drive (2018) was shortlisted for the Libris Literatuurprijs and was likewise published in German. In 2021, the non-fiction work In Search of Sleep followed to great critical acclaim and with translations into German, English, Bulgarian and Polish.
